Gator Tells All

Sorry for the lack of information. We had some plan changes yesterday. Since the hurricane was at Cat5 my company didn't want anyone at the facility. Keri Carter had a reservation at the Omni that we verifyed could be transferred to us, but later the Omni called and they were closing and evacuating people. So we we started the board-up process.

Tiffany was in charge of interior prep and kid duty while I got the easy job of boarding up the house (no kids). Gene, now I guess it doesn's seem so foolish to keep all that scrap wood around. I did have to use a few fence posts for the back french doors.

All is good now especially since it Rita has turned. I did find that we are out of sour mix so we'll have to have a Rita party with just straight tequila. We have neighbors on all sides that are staying so we'll pull together.

Unfortunately, our friends down the street, David & Barbara, did have some looting already. I went to borrow some plywood and his electric chain saw and someone had raided his beer fridge. They were nice and bagged their empties though.

Thanks to all the people for staying in touch. In case the line goes straight to voicemail it probably means we lost power or cable since we have Vonage broadband phone service.

Anyway, more later and I'll have before and after pics of the neighborhood.
