Clean Up Day Two
Well, most of our friends are back in town. Those in the neighborhood came over for some pasta and beer last night. Tiffany had preboiled a lot of pasta and frozen in it just in case. Today we slept in and will be going to church later.
The house is mostly back to pre-Rita setup. School is out for Monday and Tuesday and then due to our church annual fun fest Mackenzie is off Friday and Monday too. It will be interesting scheduling all this.
We were very lucky and learned a lot. There was a lot of discussion yesterday on evacuating next time and how not to be a "schmo" and not take the "schmo roads" like the interstates. In other words, back road to most of these final destinations were relatively clear and all you need is a good map to figure it out.
Since Mackenzie's party was postponed we celebrated with our friends last night. Tiffany got this cookie cake just in case we didn't have anything on Tuesday, but now she is a lucky bird and gets to celebrate again on her real birthday, Tuesday.
